Operating since 1995, Candlelight has its own unique spirit that makes this spot a special place. Known for its amazing weekend brunch, the restaurant is also the place to grab a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Grab a seat on their spacious patio, check out one of the various artist exhibits or catch some live music at one of there shows. This place is amazing!!! It was cold but the staff brought my boyfriend and I a heater for outside and brought my dog water! Several staff members came and checked on us, chatted with us, and were incredibly nice. The food was AMAZING and flavorful plus the portions were large. I tried two of the seasonal coffees and they were delicious and the perfect temperature. We had the best time and will absolutely be coming back if we’re in the area!! San Antonio show your local places some love❤️

I didn’t get a chance to try their food, but the coffee and service is excellent. We tried the Love Potion Latte, Blackberry Latte, and Dirty Chai and they were all so delicious (coming from 3 picky people). We asked for less sweetener, and the barista, Jenny made them perfectly. Jenny was very friendly and our experience was great. We will definitely be back to try a coffee flight and breakfast soon.

I really hate giving negative reviews and wouldn’t have written one if I didn’t have to dispute the charge for my meal with my bank. The system they use for ordering and paying automatically sends you a receipt when you pay as well as I screenshot my tab when paying because the last time I came, what I was charged was different from the bill I paid for and approved. It seems like if they are not happy with a tip they will go and add additional tip without authorization or it is automatically set to charge 20% tip but there was no indication of this. This is the second time they have gone and changed my original total and added more tip. I tip fair if the service is good but on the day we went we had poor service. If they want to add a 20% tip they should say so and not give you the option to put anything lower. Although 20% tip when I have to figure out the ordering system myself and it being difficult to talk to a server makes it hard to justify paying that amount especially for a table of 2. Changing the tip after the bill has been paid for or putting a mandatory 20% without notifying the customer is scummy.

Fun and inviting atmosphere. I love the back outdoor garden area. There is a wide range of breakfast and coffee options.We ordered the barbacoa eggs benedict, barbacoa hash and French toast. The best was the barbacoa hash. It was a great combination of flavors and the perfect portion size. The honeycomb latte was delicious 🤤

Read all the reviews before coming. Decided to come for mimosas and was sceptical on getting the food due to reviews. But let me tell you! This place has amazing brunch nachos and the countless options for mimosa flavor mix-ins were so good. We got there at like 830-9 and stayed til close at 2. It's a wonderful place to just drink the day away with a gal pal and eat some good snacks! They also had some cool flights of drinks that I admired from afar. We will be going back for future friend dates. Let me add we got two bottle services and the nachos. And they have legit the best priced bottle service!

Food was good. Flour tortillas were good. Salsa is good. The service is really bad. Wait staff dress liek they are serving at their home after a long night drinking, so they are dressed really bad. They should look better if they are serving food. They should Look clean and well maintained. There was a long wait for the food even though it wasnt busy or corwded, u gonna see the pics. I dont recommend this place to anyone or will b back at all.

It saddens me to write this review. I’ve been a loyal patron of Candlelight since 2011-ish. I live within walking distance so I’ve spent a LOT of time there that I don’t remember, thanks to the bottomless mimosas at the old location back in day.Candlelight has never been inexpensive, but I don’t mind paying more for quality/service/etc… now I’m paying top dollar for 2 measly slices of a 2.99 Jimmy Dean’s breakfast sausage loaf (but for these 2 paltry slices, Candlelight will charge you 4.50$). I’ve taken my dog here over the years and used to pay less for 2 HOMEMADE sausage patties, not stuff out of a plastic wrapper from H‑E‑B that was probably 50% off.Last time I was here, in October, I took my mom and my dog. I’ve bragged to my mom about Candlelight repeatedly over the years and was utterly embarrassed when she ordered the salmon Benedict…… they brought out the cheapest, thinnest English muffins a la Hill Country Fair on clearance in the bargain bin. They weren’t even toasted. The salmon that accompanied said stale English cardboard was ice cold, slimy. It was that salted, pickled, vacuum sealed plastic bag of salmon that you can get from H‑E‑B. The capers were also cold and tasted like straight up vinegar. The eggs are abysmal, like it was laid by a runt, defective chicken who died months ago.On a positive note, I ordered the garden quesadillas and they were GREAT!! ‘Twas a YUGE portion, fresh and delish.My former best friend ordered something that sucked, but she is so boring that I can only assume the dish was boring as well and that’s why I can’t recall it. Her opinion means nothing anyway, due to said boringness.I won’t be back until there is new management. I truly used to love this place (old location).

We are so happy that candlelight is still open after they moved across the side street. They are a perennial favorite with fantastic food, fantastic service, and a fantastic atmosphere. Great for late night gatherings of friends over coffee will be returning soon we hope.

Wonderful experience with equally as wonderful food. It was a bit chilly out that day, but we had heaters surrounding us & I got myself a delicious hot chocolate. We enjoyed cat views and an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere while we chowed down on our food.

They have $2 mimosas if you dine and a bottle 🍾 for $12. The service is excellent. They are very generous and attentive. Huge outdoor patio with umbrellas for shade.IG- love _to_exist
