    What makes it fun

The Spanish Governor’s Palace is located in the famous Downtown area on San Antonio. The structure is an incredibly old adobe from the 18th century and is recognized as a historic adobe as it is the last physical trace of the Presidio San Antonio de Bexar complex. This remarkable piece of history resides as the last standing example of an aristocratic Spanish Colonial in-town residence from the 18th century in the State of Texas. It is truly a site to see and an impressive piece of history that we are fortunate enough to have preserved for all to see. The surrounding greenery and old fountains make for gorgeous and unique picturesque backgrounds. The atmosphere is filled with wonder, history and prestigiousness. Take your love by the hand and let the music in your hearts lead you through time in this gorgeous and quaint space preserved just for your special moment.

It’s not a palace and a governor didn’t really live here, but it was still worth seeing. They did a very good job with signage in each room explaining when the room may have been built and what it may have been used for. Each room has a good display of what furnishings in a room with that would have looked like. All was very well done. This seems to have been an important part of SA history.

We love history so finding this place to tour was a win for us. A lot of historic items and notes that explain facts. It’s not a very long tour but it’s got just great things to view. The structure the garden the utensils all preserved well. The staff is great to talk to
Must do if you are in San Antonio

Interesting enough, just not very historically accurate for a reconstruction

Great museum for a quick visit. It is very interesting to see the old furniture and the courtyard. Tickets when we went were 5$. This is not an air-conditioned place, so plan accordingly with the nasty texas heat.

This is a very small museum with a courtyard. It had artifacts from hundreds of years ago. They share interesting history.

History house . Nothing changed . You can see how the people lived 300 hundred years ago . A small fee necessary .
