Remember The Alamo. This is a phrase that every American has heard before. An extremely patriotic location full of history. The site is best known for the Battle of the Alamo but the history runs even deeper. The Alamo, located in San Antonio, is a must see location when visiting the area. The destination has an exhibit, a cannon, statues, bronze models, a church, long barrack, gardens and the cannon arcade. This special place is perfect for a couple that loves history and the important roots of this free nation.

The Alamo is an awesome place to visit and see a part of history. It is much smaller than I would have imagined but well worth walking the grounds. Just a few blocks away is the downtown River Walk where you can take a small boat tour, enjoy some live entertainment, eat some great food, or do a little shopping.

Such a beautiful piece of history and so much more interesting than you would imagine. Super friendly park ranger have is the lowdown when we arrived and have the kids an adventure map activity that earned them a badge. Gorgeous original al fresco paintings still in place on the walls. This is a must visit site for sure.

I mean, it's the Alamo. Can you really rate it less than 5 stars? Really, though, it was a must-see in San Antonio. Free to visit the actual mission and its grounds, though you currently have to reserve a timed entry for the church. We found that the times were fairly loose and not strictly enforced. The museum on the property containing the collection of Phil Collins was about $14 and a really great addition to the rest of the attraction. I really enjoyed it. The audio tour was an additional $10 and while it may be worth it to some, it is a medium I have a hard time staying engaged with, especially at the Alamo. I found that it mostly read signs that already existed, so it was kind of a waste. All in all it was an amazing experience and incredibly rich in history.

Was unable to take the tour. However, the grounds and plaza, were Beautiful!! As well as informative. And the architecture?...Amazing! Will definitely be coming back very soon. They even have boat tours around the Riverwalk. With all the lights hanging from the trees... Magical✨️A must see!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
