So grab the leash, pack a few treats, and get ready for a date that’s sure to be paws-itively unforgettable.
1) Black Laboratory Brewing~ Good Brews, Good Dogs
It’s hard to imagine a more fitting brewery for a dog-friendly date than one literally inspired by a very good dog. Black Laboratory Brewing was created by two scientists and one four-legged friend, so pups are clearly part of the formula here. Head to Black Laboratory Brewing for craft beer, laid-back vibes, and a chance to relax with your sweetheart and canine companion. With a name like Black Laboratory, you could say this is one experiment in romance that’s worth conducting.
2) Confluence Park~ Bark in the Park
For a date that’s a little more scenic, leash up your love and head to Confluence Park. Located where the San Antonio River and San Pedro Creek meet, this beautiful park combines nature, art, and striking modern architecture for a backdrop that’s anything but ordinary. Take a leisurely stroll along the trails with your pup, admire the park’s unique “sails,” and enjoy some quality time together surrounded by the sights and sounds of the river. While there isn’t a specific menu for dogs, we’ve never seen a dog pass up a piece of bacon or sausage.

This lively neighborhood brewery serves up house-brewed beer, pub grub, brunch on weekends, and plenty of outdoor seating where well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. Grab a couple of cold ones, share some food, and let your pup enjoy the patio while you and your sweetheart soak up the laid-back atmosphere. Check out their live music schedule for some added fun.
5) Brackenridge Park~ Picnic with Your Pup
Brackenridge Park is ready to make your date a walk in the park, literally. This beloved San Antonio landmark offers plenty of green space, trails, river scenery, picnic areas, and historic charm, giving couples plenty to explore together. Dogs are welcome throughout the park as long as they’re kept on a leash and you pick up after them. Pack a picnic (don’t forget to include a snack for your pup), take a leisurely stroll, and enjoy a little nature with your favorite person and your favorite pooch.
