First and last visit to AR’s Today was our first visit to AR’s Entertainment Hub in San Antonio, and unfortunately it will also be our last. We were two families – four adults and four kids – celebrating our friend’s daughter’s 10th birthday. We had originally planned to go to Six Flags, but decided to try AR’s instead because of the reviews, the variety of activities, and the fact that everything was indoors and air-conditioned. The place is not inexpensive, but we bought passes for everyone and, honestly, we had a very good time for most of the day. The kids enjoyed the miniature golf, roller skating, laser tag and arcade. The facility was clean and there was plenty to do. Then we got hungry and spent well over $100 at the snack bar. With eight people, we pushed two of the four-person dining tables together so our group could eat together. The tables were in the dining area near the restrooms, and our arrangement was not blocking an exit or an obvious walkway. A staff member came over and very abruptly told us we could not put the tables together and that we had to separate them. What bothered us much more than the rule itself was the attitude and explanation. We were told it was “against the fire code” and that “the fire department” does not allow the tables to be combined. After looking into the San Antonio fire-code requirements (IFC 2024), I could not find any blanket rule stating that restaurant tables cannot be pushed together. Fire codes understandably regulate aisle widths, exits and unobstructed paths of egress. If AR’s has some site-specific fire-marshal requirement requiring these exact tables to remain in a particular configuration, that may certainly exist – but the staff did not explain that or provide any meaningful basis for what they told us. If this is an important safety requirement, it should be clearly communicated, and staff should be able to explain it professionally rather than simply invoking “the fire code.” We ultimately moved to a larger six-person table, which still was not particularly convenient for eight people. A smaller annoyance: there is Wi-Fi at the facility, but nobody seemed to know the password or was willing to provide it. For a business like this, where families are spending significant money and presumably posting photos and videos of their experience, that also seems like an odd choice. For perspective, even a Red Bull was $6, so this is not a bargain operation. When customers are spending this much on admission, activities, food and drinks, basic hospitality matters. It is unfortunate because the facility itself is clean, attractive, and the kids genuinely enjoyed the activities. But the way this situation was handled turned an otherwise enjoyable birthday outing into our first and last visit. AR’s won the argument, but lost the customer…

You lose your card for activities and they will not give you a new one unless you took a picture of it. My daughter lost her card roller skating and I’m guessing someone picked it up off the floor after that we went to the desk with a receipt and they will not give us another card. All they said was well at least whoever picked it up can keep using it. 🤨

Went to Crossroads and saw that this space was reinvented in the old Burks/Montgomery Wards (if you're from that far back). But there is an arcade, interactive games, food area, play area for younger kids and a freaking roller skating rink. Like Dave & Buster, Chuck E. Cheese, and Skateland West all together.

This is a great place to come for fun. Roller skating, laser tag, miniature golf, bumper cars, and a toddler play area all under one roof. It's also a great use of a converted section at Crossroads Mall. Pricing is also very friendly and there is also a food court with a great menu. Special day and night packages are also available.

I was here for there opening day. Everything was handled so professionally and people in line were even given donuts while they waited for the doors to open which was an added bonus. Once we move closer to the doors there was a DJ and characters who greeted people while we waited. Going inside you see the great detail and the way they turn this former store into a fun area for both children and adults. There is literally something here for every one of all ages! Prices are reasonable and you're able to keep the family entertain for a very decent price. Also skating is fantastic! The ring may be small but considering everything else that is inside of this entertainment hub it works out. I live close to a skating rink that has a cement floor to skate on. This entertainment hub has an actual skating rink floor which is so much better to move on. I will be coming here from now on to do my skating, and will bring my niece as well. If you're looking for something fun for the family to do, You can't go wrong coming here. Everybody's needs will be satisfied. They also have food here and the food is pretty good. Also customer service is top notch. I've gone multiple times since the opening and everyone is still wonderful here.

This establishment is amazing. They have all you can play skating, bumper cars, mini-golf, laser tag and play ground. They also have a pay as you play arcade. (24.99+tax) they also honor military with a discount. Skating has a very smooth and well maintained surface as well as decent quality skates to use as well as allowing personal skates. And I love the music selection. Bumper cars, this was a fun concept of bumper cars. If you hit on the targets it causes the other car to go into a spin. I also love how the have a removable jumper seat for younger passengers. The only down fall is the size, it does not give a lot of room to maneuver with 5 cars. The play ground is awesome, it has a rock wall, trampolines and a mini soccer court. The down side to this is it only allows children under the height of 54". Others that are escorting the child can play but must stay with the child that is under 54". The laser tag was a good size map but the blasters had a good range so you can tag an opponent from across the field. The mini-golf was a lot of fun, it had great detail in the decor and the holes were a little challenging. My kid did get a hole in one on the first hole so she liked that part. The thing that surprised me was the menu of the bistro & bar, I have never seen a kids play area that had the selection this bistro had as well as fair prices. And I loved the bar menu. The arcade had a great selection of games and prizes, did not spend too much time here but was fun. All in all this place covers everyone in the family to sports on TV to massage chairs and pool tables. If you have not been here then I suggest it be on your next family outing list. I hope this review was helpful and thank you for reading.
