First time visiting 1919. In love with the vibes and bartenders. Husbands first time buying a cigar and the “cigar” man came around to sit with my husband. Took 10 minutes out of his day to explain how to smoke it correctly. We are definitely becoming regulars❤️

Very cool bar! Great whiskey/bourbon selections. The bartenders were also very helpful when we needed to choose which liquor for our cocktails. Great job!

There is no food because it is a real bar. You can get mixed nuts. The rail spirits are fantastic, no need to upgrade. Just a great, quiet, conversation bar.

Bourbon and Scotch selections are about the best around. Very good and knowledgeable bartender staff. Did not try the food. If you are in San Antonio and want to go to a place to try some Bourbons and Scotches that are harder to find, this is the place.

For an expensive cocktail bar, it’s really lacking for a little decor. It’s cold. It’s in a basement. The floors are concrete.I came in at 6pm. I ordered a drink. As I went to order a 2nd one, I discovered it was happy hour, and a variation of my first drink was half price. I decided not to order a second drink, as it felt like poor customer service that the server never mentioned it was happy hour nor that I could have saved if I’d be open to a variation on my order.Just that little bit of communication of “it is happy hour, if you’re interested…” goes a long way. Oh, and the bar had a total of 4 guests in it when I arrived, so it wasn’t that they were too busy to mention HH…

We love speakeasies and we were excited to find this place. The bartender was fantastic. The decor and the atmosphere was fantastic. I only wish it was actually a little quieter lol. Like a true speakeasy but nonetheless an awesome awesome place

Outstanding bar! The drinks and bartenders are all amazing. Love the vibe and the unique drinks. Don't see something you want?, the bartenders will create just what you're looking for. ❤️ Huge selection, with lots of custom made liquors and mixers.Also love the giraffe theme. ❤️

We were back at one of our favorite bars. I asked for a "Pink Lady" and our bar tender did not disappoint... Kind of time consuming this drink, shaking the egg white. I had bought all the ingredients to make one myself, but have not attempted it. Now I have a reference point.Bar 1919 atmosphere is great. Love the decor, especially the bar area. It is a little nicer to come during the week when it's not too busy. I enjoy talking to the bar tenders or "picking their brain" on mixing drinks.It was a wonderful evening, meeting a friend from out of town.
