The A/C was either not working well or practically nonexistent, making the place very uncomfortable. We spent around $600, but the service was disappointing. A 20% gratuity was automatically added, yet the staff barely checked on us. They also refused to accept our foreign credit and debit cards, which was very frustrating since we weren't informed of this beforehand. (RACISM?) They took my ID all the night idk why,
They Turned the lights on and I wanted to use the bathroom before leaving, they didn't let me in.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Used to love this place as you could sit at the bar chat with the staff and enjoy the vibe …. Now it’s become more forced and make you sit at the sofas and lack of customer focus …. Came in and left due to awful and lacking atmosphere and customer service … strike it from your list of places to go … too many great places in San Antonio to bother here now.

Extremely disappointed with our experience at Cellar Mixology Bar. A group of my friends were asked to leave with absolutely no explanation. We were calmly enjoying our evening, purchasing drinks, and not bothering or disturbing anyone in the establishment.

When the bouncers escorted my friends out and they asked for a reason, none was provided. Being removed from a venue without cause or explanation is unacceptable and left us feeling disrespected and unwelcome.

Our group consists of professionals, including doctors, nurses, and military members, who expected to be treated with basic courtesy and transparency. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this establishment.

The candles by the stairs seem dangerous. Especially if there were to be an emergency or a belligerent crowd, God forbid.

Very bad they kicked me out for using a vape and in a very bad way I really don't recommend it, it's a super small place and after my experience what makes me sick is disgust

The drinks are fun, inventive, and delicious! Bringing a touch of El Bulli to Texas is pretty cool. Atmosphere is pretty dope, we'll happily be back. Service is great as well! We did come around 6:30pm midweek so it was not too busy.

Atmosphere is great, bartenders are awesome, menu is good. My only complaint are the bouncers at the door, they’re so picky and it differs from night to night. I go in one weekend and everything is fine and go back a different weekend wearing the same outfit and they reject me at the door. They have no continuity or consistency with the supposedly “dress code” they’re enforcing. It’s frustrating that I can show up and get in one night and not the next depending on who’s at the door flexing their “authority”. Are they security or are they judges for a popularity contest.

Located under TORO is the Cellar Mixology Bar and I must say it is too cool. The drinks are fantastic and amazingly made with a special flair and technique. There are some 4 or 5 bartenders working at any given time and around 10 PM the DJ sets up. If you are coming later it is imperative to make reservations for a table. If you are the early crowd then enjoy sitting at the bar or a table that is open. Also, try the spoon shots which take a minute to prepare, but are worth the wait. Highly recommended!

You go here for the experience, and the drinks are included. I have been to many New York speakeasys, and this right up there with the best! The entrance is hidden in a restaurant above or through a side door on the street. Once you make it down to the Cellar, you will not be disappointed. The mixologists are all friendly and knowledgeable about their craft. They create a drink with style and ease. The drinks were all some of the best I have ever had. I would definitely go back if I am in the area!

I first came to Cellar Mixology when I took and Airbnb experience cocktail class there last year and have been back several times. This historical speakeasy bar is hidden inside Toro restaurant. Nearby, there is $20 valet parking at Espee but much cheaper pay parking across Commerce on N Hoefgen Ave. The bartenders are friendly and trained in advanced molecular cocktail techniques such as using liquid nitrogen, smoke and spherification to make creative, high quality cocktails. I prefer a relaxed vibe so usually go between 5-7 pm because later at night it becomes more of a energetic night club. The dress code is smart casual and you can make reservations for a table on their website

Went to Cellar Mixology for my anniversary date night. The bartenders were all very courteous when explaining their eclectic drink menu. The drinks were amazing and different than your normal bar. The use of elderflower, liquid nitrogen and cotton candy are unique! Definitely will visit again.
