If you are reading this then you may also have read a few of the low reviews for the "Feed Me" (7 course, whole table participation, $81/person) option at Clementine. If so, this review may address those.
First off, I think it is worth the price as there is no where you can get such fixe prix in this town quite like this; this is one of a kind place. The "Feed Me" is generous and is a good "deal" overall.
At the same time, it is not for the faint of heart (or rather stomach!) diner, as it is quite adventurous dining and requires a bit of a refined palette to take it all in. You have to be ready for an exotic culinary journey and for those who have traveled to remote places know the road to get there can be challenging but the destination is so worth it. But if you are "open" to new culinary experiences and can trust the kitchen and wait staff, who did an excellent job of aiding us in that journey, then you will be more than pleased. For example, one vegetable dish was rather spicy for 2 folks at the table. Instead of complaining and dismissing it, we simply asked for some bread to cut the heat. We were obliged. Problem solved. However, others--like most of the low reviewers here-may have used such an experience to "write off" the entire meal and leave a bad review.
So, forewarned is forearmed. If that's not the kind of "food traveler" you are, then order a la carte, and also be happy as well, though maybe a tinge jealous of the other tables who got "fed."
To add to the challenge, because the seating space is pretty small and full, the noise level can affect your ability to hear the person across the table from you. It is isn't horrible just pushes one out of their expected comfort zone. Besides, your are not there for the table talk really but the dining, and the food at Clementine might leave you speechless anyway.
