This was our first time here. It was recommended by our credit card. We got greeted right away and they had our reservation ready. It’s an America restaurant with French infusion and they nailed it. The unique flavors make the experience u forgettable. We got the beets salad with generous portions and surprise ingredients like chocolate. As entree we got the chicken with chimichurri with the apples on the side. And that’s where they dropped the ball. The apples were amazing! Savory blend of squash and apples topped with peanuts makes any dish taste better. On the other hand the chicken was mediocre. Half chicken just pressed against the grill with no presentation; no micro greens or anything to make it more appealing. Disappointed for the $38 price tag. We needed the evening with coffee and desert and the chocolate mouse with vanilla ice cream was a good selection. Be aware that the plates are family style and that they have an $88 prefix secret options not listed on the menu. Service is ok and it can get overcrowded pretty easy and food takes its time to be served.

One of my top 5 Dining places in San Antonio TX !
Its owners are accomplished Culinary geniuses! Reservations I like to say are a must. The food is creative and very tastefully blended. I generally get the Chefs Choice multi served creation. This night the Pork Belly was an absolute 5 Star creation for the most amazing taste 👅 I have ever had. This is the best Pork Belly and number two can barely be seen with binoculars. The seating at the chefs kitchen is great view of the staff at work.
I must report when it’s 1/2 full or more the acoustics are notably every poor so having a romantic or another kind of conversation at dinner will be a challenge.
    Enjoy !

Third time this month, and all three times were the charm! From dinner to Friday lunch, to Feed Me dinner with wine pairing, Clementine shone bright, as always. Thank you Elise and John for making San Antonio just that much more delicious. ❤️

    Food and service(Angela) were exceptional.
All dishes were served with perfect timing. Wines that were suggested by server were spot on. This will be our go to for elevated dining. Cant wait to take friends here for a unique culinary experience. Going back this Wednesday with another couple.

Talking to the owner, he believes they are of Michelin quality, but it’s more like fast casual quality. Had stomach flu after and must have been the cheap, low quality ingredients. Would recommend to avoid this place. Not Michelin as they hope.

If you are reading this then you may also have read a few of the low reviews for the "Feed Me" (7 course, whole table participation, $81/person) option at Clementine. If so, this review may address those.

First off, I think it is worth the price as there is no where you can get such fixe prix in this town quite like this; this is one of a kind place. The "Feed Me" is generous and is a good "deal" overall.

At the same time, it is not for the faint of heart (or rather stomach!) diner, as it is quite adventurous dining and requires a bit of a refined palette to take it all in. You have to be ready for an exotic culinary journey and for those who have traveled to remote places know the road to get there can be challenging but the destination is so worth it. But if you are "open" to new culinary experiences and can trust the kitchen and wait staff, who did an excellent job of aiding us in that journey, then you will be more than pleased. For example, one vegetable dish was rather spicy for 2 folks at the table. Instead of complaining and dismissing it, we simply asked for some bread to cut the heat. We were obliged. Problem solved. However, others--like most of the low reviewers here-may have used such an experience to "write off" the entire meal and leave a bad review.

So, forewarned is forearmed. If that's not the kind of "food traveler" you are, then order a la carte, and also be happy as well, though maybe a tinge jealous of the other tables who got "fed."

To add to the challenge, because the seating space is pretty small and full, the noise level can affect your ability to hear the person across the table from you. It is isn't horrible just pushes one out of their expected comfort zone. Besides, your are not there for the table talk really but the dining, and the food at Clementine might leave you speechless anyway.

So amazing. We just got married (courthouse wedding, simple) and decided to come here to celebrate. They were amazing and even brought us some rosé and dessert on the house to congratulate us. We ordered the "Feed Us" option and every course was delicious. The fish especially. The green beans were a bit spicy for my taste but the flavor itself was very good and paired well with the next citrus pasta dish.

Thank you all so much for the great service! It's very much appreciated and we will definitely be back.

Absolutely incredible experience! Everything was impeccably prepared and the flavors, my goodness, the flavors! Best sushi I've ever had and I've been to Japan many times. Will be a frequent customer.

Great spot for a team dinner. $60 to $100 per person expected without libations.

We enjoyed the option of family style service, and would opt for the "feed me" curated experience next visit.

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in San Antonio. Our group of four opted to have the “Feed Me” option which is a multi-course meal made up of off menu items selected by the Chef. Every single course was a hit with our group and by the end of the meal it was the perfect amount of food. We sat outside on the small but cozy patio, and although it was a cold evening they had blankets for guest which made for a nice touch. I believe our waiter was, Eric, and he was excellent from start to finish. It definitely wasn’t the cheapest meal in town, but it was by far the best, and we will certainly be back for more.
