I stopped by Devils River Whiskey Distillery mainly to pick up a couple of bottles, but I was really impressed with the place overall. The atmosphere was excellent from the moment I walked in. The building has a really cool setup with the distillery equipment visible behind the glass, a nice open layout, and a very polished but comfortable feel. I included a few pictures, but I didn’t want to take photos of the entire place since there were people around, and I didn’t want to be rude.
Even though I was only there for a quick bottle pickup, the staff was very helpful and friendly. They answered questions, made the visit easy, and gave the place a welcoming feel.
I do wish I could have experienced the speakeasy while I was there, because the whole place definitely made me want to come back and spend more time.
As far as the whiskey goes, my wife absolutely loves the Cinnamon Bourbon, which is saying something because she normally does not drink. I liked it as well. My only small complaint is that I wish they offered it in a smaller bottle size. They only had the very large bottle available, so I ended up picking up two small travel-sized bottles just in case she didn’t like it.
I also picked up a bottle of their regular product while I was there. Overall, this was a great stop with a great atmosphere, nice staff, and a product we really enjoyed. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
I also wanted to add that the staff helped me out with directions to my next stop on my "walking whiskey tour". I thought that was extra special.
