Double Standard is one of my favorite places to chill out and have a drink and a bite to eat with my wife. The atmosphere is relaxing, the staff/bartenders are amazing and mix some of the best drinks in San Antonio. It’s never overly loud, allowing you and friends to have a conversation without screaming at each other Love love love the awesome vibe of this bar. The phone booth actually works.

This is the best bar ever!!!! The bartenders are so enjoyable and are so attentive to their customers. It has a great neighborhood bar vibe. Highly recommended.

Came here for their steak special with the $1 martini… long story short: 🔥Ordered the prime rib which came with mash and creamed spinach. The dollar Martini was gin with a lemon peel. Martini was so smooth, ended up ordering a couple more with vodka and olive instead (personal preference). The prime rib was mid-rare and all fat was rendered perfectly. Mash was delicious and not overly seasoned. Spinach was out of this world.. everything paired perfectly. Wife couldn’t finish her plate so I had to jump in with the assist. If you want a photo just put an empty plate with a few empty glasses on a table.Props to the staff all around!Only bad part was seeing all the other food that made us keep going “aww that looks so good”.

Great bar. The last time I reviewed this place, I said the food wasn't great, but I've come back a few more times, and I take it back. The white bean dip is some of the best bar food I've had. The burgers and sandwiches are good too however, the fried chicken is usually a bit dry.The cocktails are always great, and I love the atmosphere. Sometimes they play cool music.

Yaaaaaasssss to a place to visit. We were visiting San Antonio and stepped out of our friend's hotel desiring to eat. Their slogan "doubles are the standard" was enough for me. 😆. Great atmosphere.... but you do have to get up to order at the bar. We sat at the bar. The first bartender Roland didn't give bad service but his energy DEFINITELY DID NOT match Alex's, Randy's, Bryan's, and the other men.The food portions are decent. EXCELLENT happy hour specials. The food didn't disappoint (we just had to "doctor" the roast beef po boy). We will be back before we leave!!!

Beautiful restaurant & only deducting one start due to the fact they had the aircon cranked a little too much for our personal liking which made the dining experience a little shorter than we would have liked. Otherwise Great spot (especially for their happy hour specials!) Lovely staff and highly recommend the oysters!
