We stayed here Aug. 20-22,2026 for my wife's Walden University commencement , and left with a fraud nightmare instead of a good memory. On our very first day, the credit card on file was hit with 17+ unauthorized online charges .My wife's debit card, used only once at the Moda Market for breakfast , was also charged multiple times around San Antonio during our stay-charges we didn't even noticed until we were back home in NY. We raised this in person at checkout with Staff(Bryan and another front desk employee),who told us the disputed charges would be reversed. After we got home, the same card on file was charged several times amounting to almost $800. When we called to follow up on the issue, an employee named Ivan gave us a false name of ("Amy") instead of being straight with us which was even more questionable and threw us into believing something really bad is going on at this hotel. This not a "we didn't like the pillows complaint"-- this is guest financial data being misused fraudulently in a criminal way during an active reservation, at a luxurious premium hotel like Grand Hyatt San Antonio Riverwalk where you would think there are safeguards to guest information. We were there for 2 nights and when we got back to NY there were still charges from different vendors to our credit and debit card which we disputed and locked the cards. We used those cards only in Grand Hyatt San Antonio Riverwalk and now our we feel like our every data on us is out there with some criminal. We 've reached out to their management and we are waiting to see if this taken serious but folks be warned when you're out there to check financial statement after any dealings with the hotel and its affiliates. We will update this review based on their response, Its the most dreadful experience that overshadowed the beautiful facility and the surrounding environment.

Here on business and needed to check out early, but needed my car kept a few more hours. Patrick was kind enough to bring my car, load it up, and take it back while I finished work. Much appreciated.

I understand the "Martini White Party" was probably a busy and chaotic duration for the establishment, however, I would like to think the staff would exemplify the utmost customer service support instead of a lack there of because of it. Initially during check in, a conversation between staffers seemed priority over the line of people waiting to check in when arriving. I wouldn't have asked, but for my use of a cane, however, the bell hop was dismissive, almost annoyed, when asked about assistance using a trolley. Although he hesitantly assisted me, it seemed as though continuing his conversation was also a priority, while I waited, before he eventually did. The room temperature didn't adjust correctly to temperature displayed (never got cold), and bath tissue was sparce, in addition the cleaning job wasn't up to hotels standards. In the morning, although my husband placed the sign on the door as he went for coffee, a housekeeper tapped lightly on the door and abruptly let herself in, after seeing a reflection of me in the bed "unclothed", (cause of room temperature) she just shut the door, dismissively with no apologies, no explanation. THIS WAS MORTIFYING! I asked my husband IF he put the sign on the door when he returned, he stated he did, and she was outside much further down the hallway, although it was mere seconds between him leaving and her entrance. So my concern is why did she enter if she saw the sign, if he didn't have luggage, and it wasn't check out time, also what was the purpose, intention and/or urgency to enter my room at that particular time? Not sure the intentions of the Grand Hyatt is to make visiting guests feel uncomfortable, however the treatment of the staff this visit compared to my last here was NOT at all welcoming and more bothersome. Although this had been my weekend getaway spot. I don't believe I will be returning anytime soon to this establishment.

Great spot! The rooms were lovely, but the staff are the real 5 star recipients. Everyone from housekeeping to front desk to Dani in Valet - absolute rockstars!

Very nice and beautiful park in downtown San Antonio. Lots of attractions and amenities within the area, very nice and beautiful Riverwalk, I definitely enjoyed my daily walks near the river. Lots of shops, stores, and bars within the vicinity of the park and the Tower of the Americas is also located in this park. I enjoyed my nighwalks in this park, lots of lights and people. It's definitely worth visiting when you're in San Antonio

My family had a quick one night stay during the peak of summer at the Grand Hyatt and it was remarkable. The location is too much to even try to write here, between the mall and the hidden walk to the Tower of the Americas, it was all perfect. The TERRACE OF THE 5th is phenomenal! The concierge service, impeccable. The family safe pool was at the top of or list of reasons to return! Will we return… already planning it!

My family and I have been to several hotels, and most of our experience at Grand Hyatt was superb. Very clean, very organized, top golf simulator, swimming pool was nice and clean, staff was also very helpful. Only one concern that we had, but not enough of a concern to make less than five stars. Upon checkout, we had time to spend before going to the airport. We had asked the woman at the front desk if there was another floor than the lobby where we could stay for an hour before taking an Uber. She recommended that we exit the facility and sit outside. We had luggage and it wasn’t really an option, especially with it being as hot as it was. Not a good recommendation. Maybe this person was having a bad day. But overall the experience was excellent.
