Sucks. Avoid. The smoked brisket Udon is straight up bill miller dry brisket. The spam rice never showed up and I canceled it. The spill in the tea cocktail was watered down garbage. The wings were great.

Service was 100% terrible. We made reservations for my birthday but still had to wait 40 minutes. We had to wait outside while it was drizzling since it was full inside. Why did we have to make reservations if we still had to wait? As our guests had received their food, my wife and I waited patiently. We asked our waitress about our food and she came back to our table saying our food was lost... okay. As our guests were all done with their dinner, the waitress finally came back with our dinner. My wife's drink also took very long to get as I had already finished mine. We never received our refill of water we also asked for. Went to celebrate my birthday but came out very disappointed. We loved it when it was at the old location, sitting right next to a stranger while I ate dinner is not my thing. Overall service was an extreme letdown. Get it together, Hot Joy

The new Hot Joy location is amazing and carries some of the same features of the original building in Southtown! The span fried rice is still amazing, and the ribs were delicious! Thanks to Skylar, our server, who was very attentive and nice!

I really don’t come here for the food, but for some reason I keep coming back, so it must be the service and atmosphere.Drinks are pretty good too

This place is one of my favorites in town- the food could have more flavor tang and dang but the atmosphere is the real flavor- love it!

First time there!!!! Food and staff was amazing!!! My boyfriend and I enjoyed our 🥘 meal!!!! Everything is fantastic

Great atmosphere. Not very crowded at brunch time on a weekday if you want to avoid the weekend crowd.I tried the Nola brunch plate. Loved the bacon and grits. I just wish I could get more grits! Also tried a savory petite pie which was nice and crispy and flavorful.Also tried some beignets and chicken. Chicken was super good with a mildly spicy sauce. I thought the traditional beignets were actually better than the lemon filled and seasonal filled which was watermelon lime this month. Though still a nice twist to change things up.

This was a cool place. Tiki bar feel with Asian infused food. Man O Man, I had the Beef Albondigas(Mexican Meatballs) w/ Ramen made with brisket and it was delicious. I also tried the Pig Head Carnitas which was good as well. Now, the drinks. During happy hour a majority of all the drinks were 5$ even the shots. Hot Joy makes their own rum in house. I had an Island Boy shot, it was good. I had the Island Mule w/ ginger and it was flavorful. All this on happy hour on the weekend Sat-Sun 12pm-6pm. They also have reverse happy hour as well which I look forward to trying. Highly recommended.
