What makes it fun

Julia's Bistro & Bar serves up amazing traditional French cuisine with a San Antonio twist. We really want to wow our diners and make sure they appreciate the careful planning and skill that goes into our recipes and how we prepare them. Oh, have you heard of Jean Francois Poujol? He's the fearless leader behind Julia's. Chef Simon Romero is in charge of the kitchen. He is doing an amazing job creating delicious traditional French cuisine. We're actually named in part after Julia Child because we're so passionate about cooking delicious food. It's our main source of inspiration!

So this is a neighborhood eatery located within walking distance of our house. My wife and I had been there before about a year or so ago. I remember liking it then but then I saw their happy hour and it peaked my interest. We went down there for drinks and some snacks and the truffle seasoned fries and quail legs were delicious. Jason the bartender that served us was very nice and attentive and makes a mean old fashion. Will for sure go back for dinner and will recommend 👌....get the lobster carbonara it just might change your life

Had brunch here for the first time and I have to admit that it was very good had steak and egg with holiday sauce and never had any that was on point better then A1 sauce

Julia's is a gem within San Antonio’s restaurant scene! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with a smile by Ernesto who seated us in a great corner spot up front, where Carlos took over and looked after for us throughout. The atmosphere was perfect with comfortable seating and local artwork adding to the charm. The happy hour cocktails were a steal at just $6 each and tasted amazing - the Old Fashioned and Lavender Lemonade were delightful. The Escargot Bourguignon was rich and flavorful, setting the tone for the fantastic meal ahead.For our entrees, we tried the Duck Confit and Steak Frites, both of which were excellent. The dishes were perfectly prepared and left us completely satisfied. To end on a sweet note, we savored a delightful Creme Brûlée. The attentive and friendly staff, led by Ernesto and Carlos, made our experience even more memorable. We were so impressed that we treated them to a six-pack on our check!If you're looking for a comfortable spot with great food, drinks, and service, Julia's is the place to go. It's definitely worth the trip, even if it's off the beaten path. We're already planning to return for their top-notch brunch. Don't miss out on this wonderful dining experience!

Amazing brunch!! This quickly became my favorite brunch place after the first visit! Such a great atmosphere with great hospitality. The food was amazing (I had the lemon risotto pancakes and my boyfriend had Julia’s crepe)! Very reasonable prices for the high quality food. Recommend this to anyone looking for a top notch brunch spot a little off the beaten path!

New to SA and happy to find this jewel. Great food and the most amazing happy hour food and drink specials. The pork chop was one of my favorites ever, and I’m a pork chop lover.
