We spent two nights at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa and truly enjoyed our stay. The resort is beautiful, and the pool and water park facilities are absolutely fantastic for families with children. The rooms are gorgeous, very comfortable, and impeccably clean. However, what really made our stay special was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly, attentive, dedicated, and eager to help. We would especially like to express our sincere gratitude to DJ at the front desk, who provided truly outstanding service from beginning to end. We encountered an issue with our room, and he immediately took care of everything with remarkable efficiency, professionalism, and kindness. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and that our stay went smoothly. DJ is a wonderful example of what exceptional hospitality should be, and we sincerely thank him for everything he did for us. We would also like to thank Alberto, who helped us with our luggage, and Mr. Enamorado at the hotel bar, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It is always a pleasure to stay at a beautiful property, but what makes the real difference is the people who work there. The team at this resort truly understands the meaning of hospitality. We had a fantastic family stay and would happily return. Thank you to everyone, and especially to DJ, for making our visit so memorable!

Here for a conference. Went to High Velocity and waited over 45 minutes. No service.I found a waiter and was told to go to the bar counter to get service. The bar area was already packed. We had a small table of 7. This is a resort. We went to our rooms hungry instead of leaving the property.

Construction is going on, I'd avoid if at all possible, until its over. Definitely not what you want to deal with at JW prices.

Four star resort. Two star service. They have way too many guests for the employees they employ. They’re doing the best they can but it’s still bad. Two restaurants and one kitchen. Three hour waits for walk-ins. Housekeeping came at 730pm and asked if we still wanted our room cleaned. It’s 5pm on our last day here, we’ve been out all day, and our room hasn’t been cleaned. Their carbonation across the property is broken so all sodas and beers are flat. The $130 buffet breakfast had a broken espresso machine all week and they claimed it couldn’t be repaired because it was from Italy. Apparently the management team is working to discover where that country is located and how to order replacement parts. It’s so sad because we came from another JW Marriott just before this property and had the best hospitality experience out of twenty years of traveling. San Antonio Hill Country puts the brand to shame. The management team should be dismissed. They’ve got automatic services charges across the property which no one highlighted as tips being already included. Marriott platinum and Hilton Diamond here and this place charges five star prices for two star service.

I had a great stay overall, but the experience was completely ruined after checkout when I realized I had left my laptop in the room. I called more than eight times over two hours trying to reach someone who could help recover it. Each time, I waited several minutes before the call was eventually disconnected without anyone answering. When calling, I tried all the options: reservations, accounting, speaking with a representative and even TPC and sales. When someone finally answered reached from reservations, the agent only kept telling me to select the front desk option. Even after I explained there is no front desk option in the menu. She was not helpful and did not offer to transfer me or find another solution other than waiting until I got the front desk option (which doesn't exist). I had a similar issue when trying to book a TPC tee time: long waits, no answers, and no real support. For a property at this level, the phone service is unacceptable. Guests should be able to reach the front desk, especially for something urgent like recovering a laptop. Looks like they have no idea of what customer service and hospitality means.

Room furniture a bit dated and worn. Room smelled musty. Property is fantastic and staff accommodating. They do need additional help at check in. Long lines all afternoon.

This was truly one of the best hotels stays I've ever had. Everything was just perfect!!! Special shoutout to Sarah N. at Front Desk who really showed what hotel hospitality is all about. She was knowledgeable, insightful and really just a pleasure to talk too. You guys are running the perfect operation there. KEEP IT UP!!!

This is the third JW Marriott we have visited in the last three years. The JW experience in each has been amazing. If you are looking for an amazing family vacation spot, where you never have to leave the resort or you have the option to if you want, then this is an awesome option. The family loved the multiple pools, water slides, and lazy river so much that we never left the resort during our week long stay. We enjoyed each of their restaurants, including the steakhouse, so depending upon your mood, you will have an option that works for you. Would also recommend a cabana rental in advance, which was a great way to get some shade, rest, and great pool side service. They have a selection of kids' activities each day, which our kids took advantage of daily. The projects were different throughout the entire week. Beautiful views and resort! Would highly recommend.

One of the nicest and luxury resorts in San Antonio from Marriott. A must see in person place. They have a beautiful landscape full of things to do. From golf to spa and biking with family. This is a definition of hill country resort. The location is convenient and there are plenty of parking spaces. The valet services good but the room service couldn't done better. The breakfast and food are good. There are shops inside and they are well organized. Overall this is a hill country resort. Expecting lots of walking and biking or golf carting. 👍

One of most favorite resorts! The rooms were clean, the view from the room was beautiful, staff was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Cíbolo. There are so many things to do with the kids and they even have a schedule of events for them. I will say that I was surprised that they charged $6 for the cookie decorating class. I don’t think it was worth it. Overall, I highly recommend and we will be back!
