I recently dined at The Moon's Daughter on Friday night with a reservation and, unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, service was incredibly slow. It took around 45 minutes just to receive our first round of drinks, and subsequent rounds took another 30 minutes each. To make matters worse, the staff completely forgot to bring the last drink my wife ordered. While the drinks themselves were well-made, the delays were frustrating.

As for the food, it was decent but certainly not worth the price tag. The “sharable” scallops dish, which was misleadingly advertised as plural, arrived as a single scallop—far from what we expected for a sharable plate. The lamb chops, while tasty, came in a very small portion of just four bite-sized pieces. The eggplant side was the biggest disappointment, arriving overcooked to the point of being mushy, resembling mashed potatoes in texture.

For a total cost of around $175 for two people, the experience did not justify the price. Given the slow service, small portions, and the average quality of the food, there are many better options in San Antonio where you can enjoy better food, service, and value. Sadly, I would not recommend The Moon's Daughter, and I don't plan to return any time soon.

The ambiance in The Moon's Daughter was really nice. I had a lemon drop and it was sooo good! Very pretty view as well.

I was here for a night and the view of the city from both balconies is just beautiful...and the 2 djs located inside and outside was the cake icing. Everything was good, except it being such a nice "exclusive" place, the seats inside could be honestly something else nice. But surely made my visit to SA complete 😊. Will visit again.

Always amazing everytime I go! Staff is always friendly, food tastes great and is presented very well, decor is nice, atmosphere is chill and the view is absolutely amazing!! I have not been during their night events yet, but if they do them as well as they do everything else, then it's amazing. They aren't cheap, but it's worth the money! Reservations are a must!

A date night must. So worth the ambience alone! Drinks were spot on. Bar master can make anything you ask for! Food was also amazing! Appetizers are big enough to share and please do not skip dessert...that gelato cherry amaretto ice cream will keep me coming back for years. Servers very professional and knowledgeable.
