Stunning plants and flowers no matter when you go. Attended a wedding by the waterfall and the event was nicely supervised by staff and kept private during the ceremony. Wonderful place to take pictures and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It’s very hot and humid during the summer! Good thing is free parking nearby and even in the overflow lot nearby.

We have been to San Antonio several times but did not know about the Japanese Tea Garden until I did a Google search on things to do in San Antonio. It was an opportune time for me and my husband to explore different parts of San Antonio that we have never been to since we were traveling without our children. The Japanese Tea Garden was a fantastic surprise! It was gorgeous, lush, well cared for and a complete delight to visit. The walking trails took you through the garden in a winding pattern, bringing you to and through different little "rooms" along the way. The water features and Koi fish were beautiful and created a peaceful environment. We visited on the most hot day of this summer so far but it was surprisingly comfortable with even a little breeze at the top of the hill at the pavilion-like structure. I could not believe that there was no entrance fee. The day was so hot that park staff had water coolers full of ice water available for visitors to have small cups of cold water for free. There is also a small snack bar there that sells drinks and a few snacks.

I was absolutely mesmerized by the sheer beauty of this place! The garden is really pretty and a bit bigger from the one in Houston. Cute scenery for taking pictures at the right angles, of course. If going during summertime, wear light clothes and take water. They also have a shop for souvenirs. And can also buy food and refreshments there as well.

Brackenridge Park is an amazing little gem in San Antonio. There is plenty to do. I went on the hiking trails with my dog. The zoo is also located here as well as the Japanese Tea Garden....another must see! Be sure to check out all this beautiful park has to offer!
