San Antonio Botanical Gardens

Most people would assume a Botanical garden isn't a kid friendly space but thats not true for this one!!! There is a whole family play based area with a water feature, play house, a maze, and a nature play space. Perfect membership for a homeschool family or anyone with kids who likes to get out.

A Membership is well worth your money.

Now I looked at reviews after the fact and saw that people had night post with all the lights. I think if I knew this I would have given it more stars but overall for the price we were not impressed.

I was also expecting more from the indoor plants. The only one we really liked was the one that had mist like a rainforest but the rest was just blah.
The rose garden looks like it may be beautiful but none of them had roses.
Someone has having a wedding that day so I think that venue looks nice for weddings.

I maybe would complain less if we didn’t pay $36. I normally take more pictures of gardens because I love them but I didn’t take hardly any.

What made the experience stand out was that it wasn’t just for show—we actually got scared a few times! The scares were well-timed and added to the thrill without being overwhelming. And let me tell you, the maze was amazing! It was challenging and filled with unexpected twists that kept us on edge the entire time.

Overall, it was a great experience and something I’d highly recommend for anyone looking for some Halloween fun with a mix of thrills and Instagram-worthy moments. I can’t wait to go back next year!
