    What makes it fun

Cathedral Rock Park is a prime picnic location. Whether you like to sit at a picnic table, post up on large boulders along the river or put a blanket on the grass, all ways of picnicking are possible here. The park has gorgeous green landscapes and wonderful rocky borders around the water. They have trails for hiking, biking and play equipment for any age with young hearts. The park has benches for seating, tables for gathering and plenty of nature scapes to go around. Grab your one and only and bring them to Cathedral Rock for a day of tranquility and possibility.

**The playground is still closed and under construction as of 1/17/2025**This park has miles of paved and unpaved trails, most of which are stroller, bike, and wheelchair accessible. There are multiple creek crossings, although the beds are mostly dry at the moment. There are not many bathrooms, so plan for that, and the trails are mostly not lit, so it's not the best for after dark. But there are lots of deer and birds, and the trails are regularly patrolled by police/park rangers. It's a nice place to walk with friends and family and get away from the urban scenery for a while.

Enjoyed bringing my granddaughter to this park & walking trails... She loved playing on the playground area and taking a little walk through the trails. Beautiful natural scenery.

This park is very nice, well shaded by trees, my only complaint is the porta potty reeks (but those always do). The playground is varied, plenty to sit or grill, and the trail it leads to is gorgeous. If you’re curious you’ll find two meditative spots to see nearby, one under a large tree, and another at some giant shelved stone facing a short cliff

This park is fantastic! I love the long winding trails that allow for either a peaceful stroll or a lengthy hike. The nature-esque landscapes are amazing and offer the calmness of serenity amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Some parts are well shaded while other parts have a lot of direct sun exposure (so plan accordingly). This can be a busy park, so best to get a parking spot at the front and then decide which direction you want to go. I'm not sure if there are maps available for the trails, but it seems easy enough to navigate. Jogging, biking, hiking, dog walking, and maybe even a nice picnic is all possible at this location. Highly recommended for anyone looking to increase their physical activity!

Very nice trail with kids park. The trail goes all the way to Grissom and Ingram and I believe North West right by Ingram Mall if I'm not mistaken about the street name. This time of the year the weather I'd very beautiful and you can easily walk or bike or jog on this trail. I've seen it all.The scenery is very beautiful too. My biggest challenge is people having their pets poop all over the place and not pick up afterwards, even on the pavement. Other than that, it's a beautiful trail.

This has to be my favorite place to go walking!! I love the trails and trees and just the great atmosphere throughout my walk. I always find myself back for nice good walk and at times bring the kiddos to play on the playground. Definitely this park is the place for families or just a little alone time.
