    What makes it fun

Chris Park was established back in 2005 to honor the extraordinary life of Christopher Goldsbury, who was the son of the amazing philanthropist and artist, Linda Pace. This place is a hidden gem that you absolutely need to check out! This picture perfect park has the most lush foliage you've ever seen and walkways that are so inviting, you just can't resist taking a leisurely stroll through. There are plenty of areas where you can just relax and find your inner zen. But wait, it gets even better! This park is not just about nature, it's also about art. You'll stumble upon the most amazing art installations that will blow your mind. Trust me, this park is an experience you don't want to miss!

There was a very unfriendly park person that decided that we were suspicious. Watched us the whole time we were there visiting with our out of town friends.

Beautiful little spot with thoughtful touches of plants, jewels, and poems. I’ll be back with my daughter so she can roll down the amazing little hill!If you stumble upon the park make sure to stop in to Ruby City and enjoy the building and art!

The park was as beautiful and relaxing as I remember it. They do such a wonderful job maintaining it for everyone to enjoy. I love to come and look at the plants as I relax from a hectic day.

The park is conveniently located near 35 South (Alamo street exit) and across from Ruby City on Camp Street ( It is considered part of Ruby City).Fortuitously, I happened to visit in the last hour of the day (the park closed at 1800) -- there was not another soul nearby (so I thought).Shade and places to sit are readily available allowing respite from the harsh Texas sun should one desire to contemplate life, the universe and everything.A note: While taking pictures with my phone I was approached by a member of staff who told me pictures with the phone are ok, but a pictures with a "real" camera are prohibited without advance permission. All in all, Chris Park is a beautiful patch of green situated in the the concrete canyons of San Antonio!
