Yes, it's the typical touristy river cruise. But it was a fun way to learn about the history and the architecture of the Riverwalk. Even with a full boat, it never felt cramped. And out pilot was a school teacher doing the for as her summer job, so she offered a lot a fresh perspectives on the city and culture we probably would not have gotten otherwise.

The cruise was just OK. As someone who walked the river in the mornings before my conference, this boat tour didn’t really show you anything that you didn’t already cover in an hour morning walk. The boat operator did give some informative facts here and there, so I learned a few things, but they were interspersed with bad dad jokes that no one laughed at. I would say the cruise is best suited for people with small children or those with mobility issues who otherwise would not walk 2 miles on their own.

Overall a great tour! Our captain was fun and knowledgeable. The ride was about 30 minutes. Wait wasn’t long and cost about $16 for an adult.

Go Rio Cruise at the San Antonio Riverwalk is a fun easy attraction. We took the second boat and walked right on. After that the lines were pretty heavy. Go early.The ride is narrated. Not always well but part of the fun.Lots to see. I recommend it. The Riverwalk is the number one attraction in San Antonio and the boat ride is a fun easy way to scope it out.

We had a wonderful time cruising the river for two hours with our boat captain, John. He was polite, answered questions and offered water! Despite the heat, we enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you John!
