We went to that fine dining and celebrate our achievements. The atmosphere was totally ideal, not loud at all, the ac was totally great, since we are in texas we need that. My plate was a great filet mignon cook exactly like I wanted with the butter on the top à la Francaise. Delicious meal with a nice boulevardier (a man's drink) lol. It was exqui.

The food is great, and the place is good place to celebrate an important date, and mainly an ambiance for adults, as it is low lighting and geared towards adults with a quiet atmosphere.

Definitely not what it use to be. My wife order the seafood pasta for $26 the scallops are the frozen dime size, and the shrimp were so small. My daughter ordered a $48 steak it was chewy and fatty weird taste or seasoning or maybe just bad meat. Spent over $300 biggest waste of money. It's smells moldy like the carpet needs to be replaced

J. Alexander's Restaurant converted me from disliking black beans to loving them! Highly recommend adding to your meal their black bean soup flavored with just the right spices! I added rice on the side which is how I was raised...beans and rice. We also added a slice of Key Lime pie which is so huge you can easily split 3-4 ways.

Favorite of San Antonio flame cooked artichokes are a Notoriety for this place and they are yummy 😋 Prime Rib always perfected… I suggest have them put grill marks on your order, does not have to cha he your choice on done. ✔️ Being a Cigar connoisseur I have (as long as your not being a jerk outside to others … found them to no mind an after dinner smoke on the patio. But one one down wind … easy to understand why and respect the common area for all. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+

We had a wonderful first experience! Service was great. My waitress delivered a 5 star service. The food was amazing the flavors were popping !❤️ will definitely return. Also, the food wait time was only about 10 minutes and everything was perfect and beautifully plated.

Always 5 star. Has become a regular stop for all celebrations. Great menu with numerous choices all prepared perfectly. Wife is a 'discriminating' eater (picky) and the chefs (and bartenders) have never let her down. Valentine's special was lobster. A very pleasant surprise. Superb service. Bravo.

Frist... We've been here before & the food was delicouis, this time bad not good wife order the prime rib med-well it was so hard to cut well over done (lots of fat) so chewy & the reason i know is b/c i cut for her and taste it & yep it was tough. So i end up giving her my pork ribs.

We stopped in here yesterday for lunch. I had the Steak Burger with shoestring like fries and it was very delicious. The burger was moist and tender and had a great flavor. Fries were on point as well. Hubby had the Salmon Thai entree with BBQ Sauce and a side of Orzo and Wild Rice. He said it was very good and that the salmon was well seasoned and moist. The Orzo and Wild Rice side dish had cranberries and was also very good. We will definitely return and would certainly recommend. We started eating and it was all so good before we even remembered that we needed to snap pictures.

So I took my wife to J Alexander’s a couple years ago and she absolutely loves this place.I did too so when I planned my trip over to San Antonio I made sure to get reservations for us and family friends of ours. We went at 7 PM they were waiting ready for us. We got sat down and had a really nice seat and table. Our server showed up and was very kind. We started off with the appetizers. We got the deviled eggs and the artichokes. They were all super delicious. We ordered salads for us all with extra ranch,and they were very delicious. We moved over to our main course I had prime rib my wife had the fillet. Our friends had the steak Maui, and everybody was super pleased with their dishes. My friend loved the mac & cheese so much that he ordered another one of them. I had smashed potatoes with mine,and with that extra ranch that I had I pored it over the top. Yummy!!!! I have course ordered milk with my dinner cause I love milk with my dinner when we were all finished my wife ordered the carrot cake,and she absolutely loved it. Our dinner at J Alexander’s was absolutely amazing. We will always come back when we visit San Antonio.

Customer service is EXCELLENT! Food is AMAZING! The Maui Steak is a MUST try, super juicy and very flavorful. Cesar salad was probably one of the best I’ve had. The deviled eggs or ok but not something to write home about. The spinach queso is definitely worth the try. Overall GREAT 1st time experience.
