I don't even know where to start with this hotel. I have stayed at even "nicer" (aka $$$$) places before, but this place is EXCEPTIONAL in its service. It is OBVIOUS that they must have constant meetings on how to treat their customers and to go above and beyond. Every single member of this hotel and spa treated us so well and truly went above and beyond over and over again in the 3 days that we were there, from the moment we arrived to the time of check out. We even had one tiny incident and they more than made up for it- to the point where I was just shocked at how nice they were. I would like to highlight Isabella by name as she was so kind, but again, every single person there is amazing. Their spa is also amazing. Things that normally you would get nickel and dimed for at ANY hotel were included at no additional charge at Mokara -- I am still in shock by this. I came for the spa and it's location to the River Walk, but I will definitely hope to come back for it's exceptional customer service. I can't say enough good things about this place!

Love, Love, Love this hotel! I am counting the days until I have the opportunity to return! Very peaceful, inviting, and luxurious from the second you drive up through the second you leave. DO NOT SLEEP on this one guys, Give them a shot, you will not be disappointed.

We stopped by for breakfast along the River Walk and had such a wonderful experience! Our server, Jarvis, went above and beyond to make our breakfast so enjoyable. He was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, and to top it all off, he surprised me with a birthday card signed by the staff and a delicious chocolate lavender cake. 🥰 What a special and unexpected gesture! Thank you, Jarvis, for making my birthday morning even more memorable! Your kindness and thoughtfulness truly made a difference. 💕

We just wrapped up a truly wonderful stay at the Mokara, and I can’t say enough about the staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our visit special. It was the little touches that stood out most. The bath butler, the turn down service, the waters and snack the valets left in my car before our drive home. The small anticipations and personal details that you don’t get at most hotels. That kind of service is hard to teach, and this team clearly has it. The spa and amenities were the highlight. My only wish: a cold plunge would round out the spa experience perfectly, and the pool could stand to be a bit larger. Location was walking distance to the Alamo, the 70mm imax theater/mall, Mi Tierra/ el Mercado, and all the fabulous places at the riverwalk.

Our stay was great. Rooms are clean, balcony was fun. Spa was top notch. You can get to the Riverwalk by taking the elevator to the lower level. The location is extremely convenient to the busiest night life section of the Riverwalk, as well as several theatre a block or less away on street level. Great service from the valet, to the front desk, to room service and the spa. No complaints. (Ostra was also awesome)

Very nice hotel. Loved the bathrooms and view of the Riverwalk from my room. Small touches like bath salts, robes laid out, and ice bucket filled were appreciated. The fruit tray looked old. The worst part of the room was the TV! Horrible, small, early 2000s TV with an old school, outdated cable system. My grandmother has more updated technology! Please switch out the TVs asap. Trying to navigate the TV is anything but relaxing. Mokara really should be ashamed. I wished the concierge offered me a welcome drink like the couple before me. My status was acknowledged, but my perks weren't. I had to research them to find out they don't give out drink cards (like the Omni sister property next door) but give the welcome drink that I never received.

The jacuzzi tub was built too small and I got stuck in it and had to call the fire department and emergency services. Plus the jacuzzi didn’t work and neither did the lights in the bathroom.

We stayed here during the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series in San Antonio and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The hotel and restaurant staff, as well as the housekeeping team, made our stay so comfortable and relaxing from day 1. The amenities go above and beyond your typical hotel stay, and the location on the river walk is awesome! Special shoutout to Destiny, Eunice, and Lucie who took care of us at Ostra. We’ll definitely be back soon!

We stayed here for thanksgiving weekend and had the most amazing experience. This hotel has a pleasant atmosphere and a very attentive service starting from the guys at the valet, front desk lady which gave us a room with a beautiful view to the river last minute, the restaurant staff and manager whom were so helpful and gave us the best outdoor dining experience during the Christmas parade, and the spa which we highly recommend, staff were very kind and our massage therapists were the best! 10/10

Exactly what they are known for.... RELAXATION! and that is exactly what we received while staying here. The amenities are great starting with the saunas that are available for all guests. Good sized gym for the hotel size. Conveniently located on the Riverwalk across from its sister property the Omni La Mansion. I think that's the only thing that I would've like being different. Away from all the business, but it was over all great!
