Why can’t I put more stars??? Our experience last night was wonderful! We had two seats at “the lunch counter” which enabled us to have a bird’s eye view into the bustling kitchen. We enjoyed the prix fixe and reveled in the thoughtful pairings. Cannot wait to go back!

I love a healthy farm-to-table restaurant, especially one that keeps me coming back with a rotating weekly menu, similar to Crumbl Cookie. For food lovers like me, that concept is very appealing. This week I had the Capri salad, the flourless chocolate cake, which was unique but delicious, and the shimmery cherry steak with those all-white potato balls. The potato balls were such a fun and unique experience and very tasty. I do wish the restaurant had invested in more comfortable tables and chairs because the seating is pretty uncomfortable. Aside from that, I really love the business model and will definitely keep coming back and checking the weekly menu. The crème brûlée was also excellent and came in a generous portion, which was perfect.

Every dish felt intentional, the ingredients well balanced. The establishment is a personal atmosphere created by such a small team working BOH and FOH to create a perfect lively atmosphere, perfect for guests wanting a dish created by a team they are able to speak to, up hand, even with a farewell once walking out. The gazpacho was one of the better tasting gazpachos my partner and I’ve tasted in all of San Antonio. Loved it! Hoping to come back soon already.

Phenomenal meal. Make your reservation now. One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. They change their very small menu weekly - the lamb was great (I had that) and my wife had the cacio e pepe. The chocolate torte with sour cream ice cream topped it off! Perfect blend of dark chocolate torte and ice cream that was surprising not overly sweet. I’ll be dreaming of that meal.

Sat inside, decor is very nice. A table of 8 was sat just after and were so very incredibly loud we could not hold a conversation at our table. The staff so hold some expectations for all guests to enjoy their dinning experience and have asked the other patrons to behave like they are in public.

This place is fantastic. I’ve been wanting to go here for a while now and we decided to try it for my birthday! My god- one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We had a caprese salad (from the garden 🤤), steak chimichurri with these incredible fried mashed potatoes and green beans, and crème brûlée. We got the drink pairings too and it was such a lovely experience. I highly recommended this place for a special night out

An absolute must in San Antonio! Food and service were exceptional. I had the pre-fix, two desserts, and the exceptional post dinner aperitif pairings. As someone who has eaten at Michelin Star restaurants all over the world— a truly classic and exceptional meal. Everything was cooked to perfection and you can tell the kitchen and the staff love what they do. Can’t recommend enough! Will definitely be back! Natalie was an exceptional server and Justin - the head chef was engaging and wonderful to watch in action! .

This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. The food is excellent. It's locally sourced and scratch made. Presentation is on point. I've been several times and I've always been made to feel like a welcome guest.

I just love this spot so much. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed. It feels like you’re being hosted in your favorite relatives home. The food is comforting and delicious. One of my favorite spots in San Antonio by far.

September 25–Date night at Outlaw Kitchens in a charming converted bungalow in Midtown. The menu changes on a weekly basis and offers individual course, 3-course prix fixe, and beverage pairings. We got the 3-course prix fixe option with pork schnitzel and fettuccine carbonara as our main courses. The pork schnitzel was crispy, tender, and not greasy with a fantastic lemon, caper, and white wine demiglace, whereas the fettuccine was fresh made pasta and sauce paired with a salad and light and refreshing lemon vinaigrette. We look forward to returning and trying new menu items—very thoughtful and well done.

Food was absolutely amazing. We went the appetizer was shrimp scampi, entrees were steak Diane or 100 layer lasagne and desert was Basque cheesecake or chocolate torte. The only thing that could have been improved would have been a creamier Basque cheesecake and more mascerated strawberries with the cheesecake. Everything else was perfect and amazing.

Amazing food. The drinks complimented the food perfectly, and we enjoyed every single bite of our meal. The service was on point, and you can tell there is a lot of thought put into the menu each week. Nice atmosphere. The setting is both casual and intimate. We will absolutely sign up foe the weekly menu emails and be back. Perfect date night location. Vegetarian and GF options available.

The food was outstanding. Both vegetarian and meat options were delicious. The lamb fell off the bone and had so much flavor. We definitely will reserve on another night. Only thing left to desire was a little bit more leg room. Our party of 4 was cozy enough, just had to do a bit of shuffling to get out of our table/booth arrangement.

Delicious food, great service and awesome atmosphere! The alcohol pairing choice for the meal was great. The Cabernet could stand to be around 50F and not lukewarm room temperature (and maybe served in a wine glass), and some of the portions could stand to be bigger (creme brulee was around two tablespoons in portion size 😂 and FYI for the chef; could use a splash of Triple Sec added with the vanilla after combining the scalded heavy cream with the eggs/sugar mixture). I shouldn't have to go get McDonald's after spending almost $200 for two here. Shame, cause everything else was great.
