Long review- but many negative things to share (unfortunately).
Where to start! The service is absolutely horrible. Our hostess passed out silverware & appetizer plates - 2 of which were dirty & clearly unwashed. Her response was a 'giggle' & "oh how'd that get there?" (We should hv taken that as a sign). The waitress screwed up 4 out of 6 of our orders, & couldn't hv cared less. Our drink orders took over 30 minutes to arrive. I had ask for a drink in a goblet size - I was told "oh no we can't make this drink in that size," which honestly made 0 sense to me.
Food was mediocre at best. I ordered the grilled ham & cheese. There was 2 tiny pieces of thin cheap lunch meat on the entire sandwich. The fries were hard & barely warm. My husband's chicken "breast" was about the size of a small orange, with a big bone attached.
The waitress never came to check on us after we said we were missing items from our order. She came at the very end to give the check & that was all. We noticed the majority of the staff hanging around in the kitchen area joking & laughing & on their phones. One of male staff (appeared to be a manager but not 100% sure) spent his time discussing "women he could find" for the bartender. Very odd & unprofessional.
And then there were the restrooms...Absolutely disgusting. Toilet paper & paper towels everywhere, the trash bin overflowing onto the floor, water all-over the counter & sink area. 1 of the soap dispensers were empty, & the other barely worked. It was very clear the restroom had not been checked in a longgggg time.
The 1 & only thing positive I can say is that they did seat us right at our reservation time.
I have been to the Sugar Factory many times in Las Vegas, & it is NOTHING like this location. It was fantastic & I had 0 issues. If you are expecting a fun & good experience at the San Antonio location, be prepared for disappointment. I will not be returning here & honestly wish we could get our money back! Or at least the ridiculous 20% service fee they automatically charge you!
