oh my goodnesssss!! it was mine & my husbands first time coming here for dinner last night, only to find out at the end of our service it was our beautiful servers first day and we were her first table! Angelina was absolutely wonderful. she was so friendly and we felt taken care of by her the whole time. the entirety of the staff was so kind and Sebastian rlly made us feel like friends as opposed to customers in the BEST way. the food was phenomenalll!! we were in awe the whole time. we had the lasagna, trout, side carrots & the nutella dessert. ALL dishes were 10/10. plus the location is to die for. seriously couldn’t have had a better first time experience and couldn’t recommend this place more! thank you angelina and staff!!!

We visited TRE last Saturday, August 29, as two families, a party of six. We had an 8:45 PM reservation and arrived at 8:35. Although our table appeared to be ready around 8:40, we never received the call or text we were told we would receive. At 8:55, we finally asked about it and were seated. The food was excellent. The burrata appetizer was delicious, the main courses were very good, and our server was attentive and friendly throughout most of the dinner. Unfortunately, the experience changed completely when it was time to pay. After bringing the check, our server disappeared for almost 20 minutes. Since we had children with us and were ready to leave, my brother-in-law and I went inside and asked another staff member for help. We clearly requested that the bill be split equally between two payments, with one half paid by card and the other using contactless payment. About 10 minutes later, our server returned after charging the entire bill to my brother-in-law’s card. When we explained that we had specifically asked to split it, his attitude became surprisingly rude. He told us that he was our server, that we should not have spoken to anyone else, that the payment had already been processed and there was nothing he could do. He also said the restaurant does not accept contactless payments. The food was genuinely very good, which makes the ending even more disappointing. In my opinion, good service doesn’t end when the check is brought to the table. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled at the end overshadowed an otherwise very enjoyable dinner

Go early. We missed out on the waygu lasagna because it had already sold out. Good food. Great wait staff. Intimate setting.

Tre Trattoria was fantastic! The food was excellent, everything was fresh and full of flavor, and the service was just as great. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place we’d come back to and recommend!

Amazing food, best Italian I've ever had. Everything was fresh and made to order. Our waitress was very kind and amazing, she catered to our every need and even gave us some amazing recommendations. If you're looking for the best Italian food in san antonio, this is the spot!!!

This little gem is tucked away behind the San Antonio Museum. It's on the Riverwalk, but just far enough from the touristy areas to escape the noise. The food is upscale Italian; the setting is casual and the service was friendly without feeling rushed. It's technically part of the museum but you don't need to go to the museum to dine here. Only downside: as with everything else on the Riverwalk, parking is tough. Other than that, the food is delicious. Pictured below is the one of their cast-iron pizzas: balsamic onion, pistachio and saba (cheese). Highly recommend!

Tre needs to solve its ventilation problem in order to be a passable restaurant. There is 0 ventilation and no hoods in the kitchen. As a result, you are dining in smoke and leave smelling like the restaurant. AND there is ONE bathroom unless you want to walk outside for a few minutes

I ordered the golden beets, deviled eggs, the cavatelli pasta, and the Nutella dessert. The beet serving size was good for a table of 2-3 and the deviled eggs were magical, rich and good for 2-4 people. The cavatelli was delicious and meant for one. The noodle texture is like gnocci (dumplings), and so if you have a thing against doughy texture then be aware, but I enjoyed it. The one thing I’d pass on next time around is the Nutella X3 dessert. It is a mild, semi-sweet dessert that just didn’t hit the spot for me. Possibly, if it were more set/firm/chilled I would’ve enjoyed it more. As of June 29th the outdoor lighting is not working, so plan to dine earlier if sitting outside, or stay inside all together.

Ask to be seated at Bar. There’s only two seats at the bar. You’re right up next to the cooks and the bartenders. They literally had us sample all kinds of dishes and drinks. Super friendly and great experience. 20 out of 10 Stars!!!!

Great Italian fare experience overlooking the river walk. I really enjoyed my experience and the staff was super courteous. I highly recommended the golden beets salad and/ or the caprese that is scrumptious on a bed of what it seems like infused olive oil that is... Anyways, go local and support this restaurant and it's great offerings. 🎉🔥❤️
