Very poor acknowledgment of customer. I was at a table of 7, your associate took everyone’s order except mine. I know this for every order she took, she collected the menu, yet my menu set there as she walked away. I had to flag down another associate to make her aware of how she ghosted me while taking orders at another table. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 so much for a good experience

We actually really enjoyed our meal here. We were visiting San Antonio and saw great reviews. We ordered the carrots and burrata, gumbo, crab cake and mustang chicken. The mustang chicken was definitely a winner - crispy yet juicy. The carrots were flavorful but there was barely any burrata. My husband enjoyed the gumbo and crab cake. We had a great time. Too full to try dessert - but I've only heard great things.

I made reservations to visit on a Saturday night and that turned out to be a very good idea. The wait was still 15 minutes with the reservation. My husband and I both agree it was still a good experience. The ambiance here is off the charts. We sat upstairs and got excellent customer service and a nice view of part of downstairs. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. I tried the halibut and it was small but tasty. The macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes were also good. My husband really liked his pork chop. Parking can be a little bit of a problem but we found a space without having to look around for too long. When my budget allows, we will return since the prices are kind of on the high side.

Hands down this is the best restaurant in San Antonio. Best food, service and atmosphere. Consistently good. Its a great hidden gem in our city. Highly recommend. On this visit had brunch and had gumbo and split fried shrimp. Chefs kiss.

Cappy’s has always been a hometown favorite. Definitely worth the drive even if you aren’t in the Alamo Heights area. Known for seafood and cocktails, just about everything on the menu is good. I had the Potato Crusted Halibut with Julianne Vegetables. It was killer, highly recommend. Cocktails were spot on and the bread is delicious. Only room for improvement would be desert. We had the Key Lime Pie which came with a kiwi gel. It was decent but far from the best Key Lime Pie I’ve had and the Kiwi was an odd addition.

Everything was top quality and our server Justin was very kind. It was our first time dining here and they took care of our desserts as courtesy. My husband and I had the lobster thermidor, it was complimented with grilled asparagus and a lobster potato mash. The sticky toffee pudding tasted heavenly, the mixture of saltiness from the toffee and sweet/creamy with the blue bell vanilla ice cream was such a perfect balance. The crème brûlée was creamy but not too sweet. If you have a chance to go to this place you should, I know I'll be coming back. Amazing food and amazing service :)

A San Antonio classic! The menu never ceases to surprise me here. I had the steak frites during brunch and loved it. The atmosphere is great as well. The Alamo Heights old money feel really seals the deal.

I wasn't a fan of the grilled pork chop, but I would still come back to try something else. My husband liked his prime rib. The bartender is great because our drinks didn't disappoint.

Everything was fantastic! To begin with, loved the charm and ambiance of the restaurant. We sat inside, but the outdoor patio looked very inviting also. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. We started with the Brussel Sprouts with Kimchee vinaigrette-absolutely delicious! Equally as wonderful were the Faroe Islands Salmon and the Grilled Beef Tenderloin. The only regret was that we didn’t have room for dessert because so many of them looked amazing. Next time! This restaurant might quickly become our favorite!!

Kyle was awesome at literally running us in, at the host bar, taking care of us, food was Hot! Delicious! I am such a fan of San Antonio having places like this.

I'm sure my low restaurant expectations from living in New Braunfels did NOT influence my very good perception of Cappy's.

The service was friendly, attentive and professional.

The food was lovingly prepared and presented.

It's almost enough to convince me to move.

Lunchtime on a Saturday here gets packed. Wet my whistle with an Almond Joy and washed it down with the chocolate cake. Fresh ingredients can be expressed in my drink. Cake was fluffy with a bit of crunch from pecans pieces.

Can't believe we've never been here before. Put an amazing place, see it all the time, for many years and I've never stopped till today. I had the $20 special with a 5 oz steak cooked to perfection over a amazing 🥗 salad. My son got the lobster sandwich, and my mom got the Mustang Chicken. Oh and there homemade 🍞 bread?! Scrumptious! 🤗 We enjoyed our meal out on their patio.

Excellent meal! Everything was made to perfection.

Wife had the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, she enjoyed it. Plate came with a salad. Her only complaint was she wished it came with rice. I at the Beef Tenderloin, zero complaints on my side. Was delicious!

Service was excellent. We didn't have reservations but team was able to sit us. I definitely recommend reservations.

Wow! What a find. Our friends made reservations and we were able to get a table around noon. The restaurant is located off Broadway in an area that is being remade and new construction added. The restaurant is in an old old house. Great ambience inside. Our waiter was excellent and the food was delicious. Super fresh. I had the salad and it was the perfect size portion. Will had the shrimp and grits. His dish was excellent. You have to wait a bit for food, but it's all cooked from scratch. Highly recommend.
