Was a bit disappointed in the food but the service and atmosphere is some of the best in the city. Very busy place so make a reservation.

Great experience! Went for my friends anniversary party! The kimchee calamari was spicy and crispy. Nice spicy aioli on top. I had the ribeye with mushrooms and asparagus. I usually don’t go out for steak. This place was better than expected. Our server José Hernandez was great. Super attentive and also the food never felt rushed. Came out in good time and really enjoyed the meal. If you want a nice steak and good view. Check it out.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Chart House. The food was delicious, the seafood was fresh, and the service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere and beautiful views made the evening even more special. Highly recommend the lobster bisque and chocolate lava cake. Looking forward to coming back.

Was just there last night close to closing, my wife and I had Garon as our waiter. Let me just tell you how exceptional he is as a waiter very genuine about making your visit worth it with no hesitation and makes you feel very welcomed. I got the regular ribeye medium rare was a little over cooked and garon made sure to have it remade to my liking with no hesitation and a complimentary lobster soup from the manager who was also so genuine. And oh my was the steak they remade for me literally one of the best ribeyes I ever had, most juiciest and perfectly seasoned definitely going back not just for the amazing high city view but for the amazing service and food. And my wife loved the shell linguine very filling and generously served with all types of shell seafood. Thank you Garon for making it a great night!

Great service from Justin & other staff. Good food but not hetter than other high end steakhouses. Parking was $20 & restaurant rotation was under service day of dinner & wish would've known sooner since that was main reason for going. Then couldn't go to observation deck without paying additional $12 fee pp which was ridiculous. For a "high end" steak place, was a highly disappointing experience. Wouldn't recommend.

This restaurant was amazing!!! The food, the view, and the staff were amazing. We had chilled oysters for an appetizer. It came with 2 sauces and it was delicious! For our entrees I got coconut shrimp, it comes with mango sticky rice and 3 sauces. It was delicious. My fiancé got ribeye steak with mashed potatoes, he loved it! Our waiter was really sweet and attentive. He even took a picture for us at the end of our dinner. For dessert we got the Crème brûlée tasting, and I would not recommend it.

Went to lunch here and the views were great! However, service and food could definitely be improved. The food took about 50 ish minutes to come out.

Our table got the steak frites, smash burger, and parmesan crusted chicken.

I asked for medium well steak, but my steak was well-done. The portion size and quality was not worth the $27.

The other two meals were fine.

I can see ourselves coming back mostly for the views, however, I would likely get the burger or chicken sandwich.

    The Food
I ordered the steak frites — the steak was well seasoned, though a bit on the tough side, and the fries came with a garlic Parmesan coating that was a nice touch. Solid and enjoyable, but the food isn’t why you come here.

The Real Star: Views & Ambiance
Chart House sits inside the Tower of the Americas, and the views are the whole point. Sweeping city views from above make for a setting that’s genuinely hard to beat. What’s worth knowing is that day and night are two completely different experiences — both have real merit. Daytime gives you bright, far-reaching skyline views with an open, airy feel; after dark the city lights take over and the atmosphere becomes something else entirely. If you can manage it, go twice.

The ambiance inside matches the setting — warm, inviting, and comfortable without being stuffy.

    Practical Notes
Reservations are a must, even at lunch — don’t risk showing up without one. Parking is $20, so budget accordingly. Service runs slow, so come without a tight schedule.

    The Verdict
Chart House is an experience first, a restaurant second. Come for the elevation, enjoy the food for what it is, and book your table before you go.

While traveling to celebrate our thirteenth wedding anniversary we made online reservations to eat here. We were early, so we waited in the bar that sits over the restaurant. The view is spectacular. We've been to the space needle in Seattle, the Iffel tower in Las Vegas, and even Oscar's steak house in Vegas, none of them compared to this. Stunning! David was our server and what a joy it was having him wait on us. The food was fantastic. The lobster bisque, and fish tacos were delightful. Definitely worth the trip. Thanks to all the staff for such a wonderful experience.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Incredible Experience!

Chart House in San Antonio is a must-visit! The nighttime city views from the Tower of the Americas are absolutely stunning. I had the salmon, and it was cooked to perfection—flaky, flavorful, and paired beautifully with the sides of green beans. The service? Top-notch!

Book a table around sunset for the most magical view. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot is worth it! Can’t wait to go back! 🥰

Great place for a romantic dinner with views of the San Antonio skyline. Make your reservation just before sunset so you can enjoy it while having drinks and dinner. The food is some of the best in San Antonio and their crafted cocktails are great.

I came here all the way from Dallas to celebrate my 1st wedding anniversary with my wife. All I got to say is "WOW" WHAT A BEAUTIFUL AND OPULENT ambient. We made a reservation for 7pm and requested a window seat. Which I was given. The staff super professional and kind, service is just amazing. They treat you like if you are a millionaire lol. Place rotated around 5 times in the whole 1 hour and 30 monies we were having dinner. The only thing I regret is not making a reservation around 8pm or 8:30pm to see complete sunset and see the lights of the San Antonio Downtown at night. I'LL DEFINITELY COME BACK. Food was perfect and so tasty.

We went at 7pm and I’m thankful I didn’t book 6pm. The Sun was so hot the first rotation of dinner. After that it was a lot better. The food was good. We got 5 things total, shrimp pasta and lava cake not photographed. All of it was very good except the lava cake. It was not good, as all. We only ate half hoping it would get better. For 5 things we spent $132 before tip.

Our waiter, Jeremy, was awesome! He was very knowledgeable about the food choices and even answered questions about the area we were seeing from our table. This is a very unique restaurant in that it turns ever so slowly so you get a fantastic view of the city. The food and drinks were good as well. I had the seabass which was really. The pomegranate martini was a plus! Oh yes, please get the shrimp-crab fondue. It was exceptional.

This place was a delight. Our server was awesome and the food was delicious! I was a little nervous from some negative reviews I read, but was pleasantly surprised. The food was perfect temperature for eating, full of flavor, and pleasantly plated. The only negative staff encounter I experienced was with the elevator operator. He wasn’t rude, he just clearly finds no enjoyment in his job so it dampened the mood a bit. But the place was clean and pleasant overall. Yes, you do have to pay $20 to park. If you don’t mind the walk, there is cheaper parking. But in high heels, that wasn’t something I was willing to do. It’s all day parking though so after dinner, our group walked down to the river walk and enjoyed the lights there (bring walking shoes and stash them in the car).
