Our wetland environment is one of the last crucial stopping grounds before the Texas Coast, which is where 98.5% of long-distance migratory bird species in the United States pass through. Many of these birds are about to fly for hours or days over the ocean, and our habitat is one of the last critical stopover grounds before the Texas Coast. In addition to being one of the top locations in San Antonio for birdwatching, we also welcome visitors interested in learning more about the natural world and conservation efforts.
