I've never been on a Riverwalk before. This is such a cool experience I'll never forget. It can get kind of crowded on a warm summer day. But there's plenty of places to sit and enjoy the beauty of it all. And the loop with the restaurants is pretty cool. We ate at the iron cactus and thought the food and experience was excellent. We also saw the Alamo and the San Fernando cathedral her right nearby.

We combined a visit to the famous Alamo, Valero Mission, and the River Walk, all conveniently within a 5-minute walk from each other in downtown San Antonio. Since parking is limited downtown, we opted for paid parking for 3–4 hours to cover all three attractions.

The River Walk itself is an absolute must-visit—and best of all, it’s completely free! You can simply grab any drink or food from the riverside restaurants and stroll along the river. The river is clean, with charming pedestrian bridges connecting both sides, and numerous restaurants offer seating right by the water. Riverboats run every 5 minutes, with drivers sharing the history and attractions along the way. Daytime boat rides rarely have lines, though evening lighted cruises can get busy.

The River Walk and tables are shaded by trees and buildings, keeping it cool even in the Texas heat. Ducks roam freely in the water, adding to the serene atmosphere. Note that the River Walk is one flight of stairs down from the main road, so you’ll need to descend stairs to reach the path.

Overall, the San Antonio River Walk is a free, scenic, and relaxing experience perfect for sightseeing, dining, or simply enjoying the city’s vibrant culture.

The River Walk is a must-visit if you’re in town. We visited during the year-end season, and the entire place had amazing festive vibes. Walking along the river is very pleasant, with beautiful views and plenty of restaurants right by the water to explore different food options.
The boat ride is a must-do experience, also most of the attractions are located along the river. We especially loved the morning boat ride, it was calm, refreshing, and very enjoyable. Nights can get a bit crowded during festival seasons, as we experienced, but the lively atmosphere makes it worth it.

Great attraction for those who might be coming into town for a vacation. This place is beautiful, full of energy, and gives a peaceful presence. I was blown away on how long the Riverwalk is and the various options for dining is amazing. If you like Mexican food they have 18 restaurants on the Riverwalk. I truly enjoyed this place and I'm glad to e took a boat ride and learned more about the history of this place and some of the heritage that lives within the city. Truly an amazing experience and I would highly recommend you put this place on your bucket list for things to do by yourself or with the family. It's an amazing experience!

We love the Riverwalk,so many restaurants to choose from and the the river boat tours are also fun and informative. It does get extremely hot in summer, so be prepared. You will do Alot of walking. The mall has Legoland Discovery center and a small aquarium. There's also a trampoline park. Things can get pricey but there's lots to do.Hope this helps

This a great place for family, friends or a date. There is a lot to see and eat! I recommend taking the boat ride, as it will give you an easy tour of the place.

We had entertainment on our boat ride. A poor soul decided to jump in the river to cool off before being fished out by the police.

Everyone is very nice and friendly here. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The first time I went to San Antonio I was a teenager. I had a wonderful time and it was beautiful. I had not visited San Antonio in over 30 years since. That all changed in 2023 I went to visit and took my entire family my children and grandchildren, needless to say it’s just as beautiful as the first time I saw it. It’s so awesome that they take these old buildings and renovate them and make them just as beautiful as if they are brand new. Do yourself a favor put San Antonio on your bucket list and please take the boat ride around the river bend. There are so many paths to walk around the river as well. There are bars, specialty stores, restaurants hotels, it’s almost endless, and filled with so many varieties of things to look at. Whether you visit at night or in the daytime, it’s always beautiful!

The San Antonio River Walk is a renowned destination for visitors in Houston, and it truly exceeded our expectations! The ambiance along the river was enchanting, with picturesque bridges, lush greenery, and charming water taxis gracefully gliding by.

We began our adventure with a leisurely walk along the cobblestone pathways, savoring the lively atmosphere created by a delightful mix of shops, cafes, and restaurants lining the route.

To fully immerse ourselves in the River Walk's spirit, we decided to take a guided riverboat tour. Our knowledgeable guide shared captivating stories about San Antonio's history and landmarks, making the experience both educational and entertaining.

After the River Walk, we continued exploring the beautifully illuminated riverbanks, which added a romantic ambiance to the surroundings. The enchanting atmosphere inspired us to capture numerous photos, preserving the joyful memories of our evening together. Additionally, we got a caricature drawing, making it an extra special and memorable keepsake.

In conclusion, the San Antonio River Walk is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful and unforgettable outing with friends. Whether you're after a relaxing stroll, cultural experiences, or delectable cuisine, this iconic attraction offers it all. With hearts filled with cherished memories, my friends and I are already eager to plan our next visit!

It was a very nice place to walk down and enjoy the sights. It was semi crowded at times but the flow of traffic moved along so it wasn't to bad. There were many restaurants, bars and gift shops to choose from. There were beautiful trees and flower gardens along much of the walk. Some places had some waterfall or water fountain features. The tour guides were passing by on the water and you could hear some of the information about the area. I had a great time.
